Early childhood education
The field of early childhood education focuses on children under six years of age, on their parents or legal guardians and on organisations associated with infants. Within the framework of early childhood education, children should be supported in the areas of language, exercise, music and social behaviour.
School education
This theme deals with education from the elementary school level up to the entrance requirements for higher education. Children and teenagers should receive an education that is appropriate for their age. A further goal is to enable as many children as possible to attain the general qualifications in order to meet the requirements for university entrance and therefore provide them with a better chance in life. The Children’s Rights Convention of 1989 states that every child has the right to receive education. With our projects we want to actively support this resolution.
Occupational training
Alongside general education, a focus of our work is specific occupational/professional training. Whilst specialists are in demand all over the world, specific occupational/professional training is very hard to obtain in some countries. The Lyoness Child & Family Foundation is campaigning to make occupational training possible for deprived people who, as trained specialists, will have better chances of obtaining secure jobs.
Adult education
Lifelong learning – adult education with a holistic basis and strong links to practice to fulfil the individual experiences and everyday life expectations and aims of the participant. Adult education represents an important future source of hope for social and economic development and for the raising of awareness. |
