The Philosophy

The Lyoness Child & Family Foundation is a wholly independent charitable organisation, with the aim to help people in need by enabling access to education and training. Due to this support, the people have a chance to increase their quality of life and their qualifications , which otherwise would not be available to them.

The goal of the Lyoness Child & Family Foundation is to help people in need to, as our philosophy states, „preserve life through education”.

The Guiding principle

During the establishment of the foundation in May 2008 the following guiding principle was laid down:

In the long-term , education enables protection of the most basic needs and opens many new perspectives and opportunities.

The Values

All of our employees and partners and those in need of our support can rely on us to act to the best of our knowledge,

to keep our eyes open,
to recognise need,
to judge fairly, without prejudices,
to work together in a professional manner
and to distribute our help fairly.

The Lyoness Child & Family Foundation is based in Buchs (Switzerland), from where the foundation board operates. The central administration and the organisational operation are based in Austria.

The Lyoness Child & Family Foundation is financed through donations and contributions from the Lyoness Group. Furthermore, a fixed percentage of the revenues of the Lyoness Cashback Card and the Lyoness Online Shopping portal also form part of the financial support . The resulting funds are used to realise selected national and international projects, which must comply with the strict criteria required, ensuring a fair decision process.

Under no circumstances will the Foundation provide sponsorship or hold the role of a main sponsor. The aim is rather to select, finance and successfully implement independent projects.
